Queensland

Geoffrey Cooper, of Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North, negotiated a three-year office lease for the lessors at Suite 18/457 Upper Edward Street, Spring Hill. The office suite is 103sqm and the tenant is the Surveyors Board of Queensland. The agreement includes a rental rate of approx $460psqm pa gross, plus GST and has been linked to CPI increases.

A New Zealand storage and distribution company now operating in Australia has secured new premises for its Brisbane base. Contract Logistics has moved into 141 Boundary Road, Oxley, which is positioned on the corner of Blunder Road. They have leased the 2300sqm facility on a three-year term with a three-year option. Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane Southside Senior Executive Paul Flego negotiated the deal.
The rental achieved for Building D, which Contract Logistics now occupies, is $218,500 pa plus outgoings and GST.

The long-time home of Concord Park transport at 73 Formation Street, Wacol, has a new tenant! This specialised transport facility was leased to KS Easter Group. The prime location sits on 1.1 hectares of land with a 1,850sqm building and provides KS Easter Group with ample room for its truck movements. Voyt Reich, a Transport and Logistics Specialist within Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane Southside, leased the property for five plus five years, with the commencing rental $350,000 pa net.

A freestanding brick, block and metal-clad office/warehouse adjoining the Archerfield Airport has changed hands in a $2.1 million transaction, negotiated by Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane Southside Principal Joseph Grasso. The property situated at 27 Colebard Street West, Acacia Ridge, was the long-time home of Halifax Vogel Group, who is now occupying larger purpose-built premises in Carole Park. The 1,487sqm freestander was purchased by neighbour Brandon Electrical to facilitate its business growth.

Western Australia

A development site in North Perth was sold by Geoff Robinson from Raine & Horne Commercial WA for $1.32 million. The property at 364 Charles Street was previously used as a site office and has 480sqm of land.

NSW

Georgia Bolton, of Raine & Horne Commercial North Sydney, negotiated a three-year lease for Zareh Nalbandian, Christopher Godfrey and Camilla Mowbray for a 462sqm property at 75-77 Chandos Street, St Leonards, from Tanya Pearson.

Kerri-Lee Edwards and Ben Greaves of Raine & Horne Commercial Campbelltown have successfully negotiated the lease of 22 Minto Road, Minto, to the NSW Department of Corrective Services for $300,000 net pa plus GST. Converting 997sqm of the total 1631sqm retail space into state of the art office accommodation will also result in a significant increase in the property’s value for the current lessor.

Professional services company GHD has committed to take about 30 per cent of space in Newcastle’s new commercial complex, HQ, in the city’s Honeysuckle precinct. GHD will occupy about 2200sqm of A-grade office space over levels two and three. The company has taken a seven-year lease term and expects to occupy the space in late 2008 or early 2009. Among the agents acting on behalf of GHD was Alan Tonks from Raine & Horne Commercial Newcastle.
